Structures

The Council has given responsibility for dealing with the Homelessness Strategy to the "Community Services (Social Work) Commissioning Board" and a new "Homelessness Strategy Advisory Group". An Officer Group, comprising managers of the Homelessness Service and Strategic Leadership, sits between these bodies and acts as the conduit for communications between the two and ensures that appropriate action is taken.

Commissioning Board

Attendance at the Commissioning Board includes Councillors, Council Officers, and representatives from NHS Grampian.

Advisory Group

The Advisory Group comprises Councillors, Council Officers, representatives from Registered Social Landlords, voluntary organizations, the Police, and NHS (Grampian). These representative positions are subject to annual elections and are required to be representative of the sector as a whole: reporting back through the ACVO and through other appropriate means, on a regular basis.

Other Groups

There is one standing Action Group - the Health and Homelessness Action Group. It links the Council, NHS Grampian, the Police, and voluntary / community sector partners.

Additional groups are convened as necessary for specific items.
