Strategy - our second aim - intervention

We will intervene when homelessness occurs through the establishment of a co-ordinated Homeless Crisis Response Service enabling appropriate routes out of homelessness to be identified and accessed for all homeless households.

The key actions identified are:-

  • Intervention through improved assessment and referral processes
  • Providing appropriate support services
  • Developing a Direct Access/Crisis Response System
  • Providing sufficient Temporary Accommodation
  • Providing and enabling flexible access to Supported Accommodation
  • Ensuring the quality of accommodation and staffing
