Aberdeen Homelessness Strategy

Welcome to the Aberdeen homelessness strategy website.

Here, you will find information about our strategy and the fight against homelessness in Aberdeen.

Our Strategy sets out how the Council, with its partners, will prevent and alleviate homelessness in Aberdeen.   The Community Plan for the City (aberdeenfutures) has an objective to eradicate homelessness in Aberdeen by 2011: the Scottish Government's target is to ensure that by 2012 every unintentionally homeless person will be entitled to permanent accommodation.

The Homelessness Strategy was developed in partnership involving the Council, other public service agencies such as NHS Grampian, Registered Social Landlords, and key agencies in the voluntary and community sectors.

I'm homeless, can you help?

Sorry, but specific information on what you should do if you find yourself homeless, or threatened with homelessness, CANNOT be found on this site. If you find yourself in this situation, telephone 01224 522210 (or 01224 693350 out of normal office hours) to contact Aberdeen City Council's Homelessness section.

The Council's leaflet detailing emergency help in Aberdeen is available in a number of languages.
